Have a look on this bike and you just can’t help but appreciate the talent and craftsmanship of whosoever made it. It’s a full scale 1:1 working replica of the famous ‘Batpod’ ridden by Batman in the famous movie: ‘The Dark Knight. This awesome looking motorcycle is totally hand built and is a scaled down from the original for more accuracy and exalted feel. And what’s more? This motorcycle really binds the bike freak with the bat mobile obsession.

Powering this custom Batpod is a high output 650cc 4 stroke, water cooled engine with direct port nitrous injection. The Contraption has its frame built from hardened steel and welded together for a spectacular performance. Its arms and covers are made of high tensile strength fiberglass that hides the engine. Further, Badpod features 508 millimeter tires across and is also equipped with grappling hooks, grenade launchers, and 50 caliber machine guns, but woefully these don’t function.

However, it is to noted that Batpod isn’t street legal, and will arrive with one chain removed so it won’t be ridable either. Nevertheless, at the special requests of the buyers it could be made street legal for a nominal fee. Well, if you have penchant for custom built bikes and little Batman obsession; hurry up this bike is up for the grab at eBay for US $100,000.00 and the bid for the same will end on May 29, 2010 04:16:14 PD.

Ohio-based Silveira Group has come up with an all electric Personal Water Craft (PWC), the Green Samba that company claims to be the first commercially viable vehicle of its kind. Green Samba delivers the straight line 65mph performance of the fastest 260bhp sit-down PWC’s which is combined with handling and agility far better than that of a stand-up PWC. This scintillating performance comes without emitting a wee bit of hydrocarbons, NO2, CO2 or making any noise as such. Thanks to a pair of twin direct drive electric propulsion pods which are fueled by onboard batteries. Green samba is ridden in a motorcycle-like crouch and was developed with the specific intent of creating the PWC V 3.0. The prototype of ‘The Green Samba’ is expected to be ready by August this year and a consumer version will soon follow the suit.

In a time when the rich countries across the globe are adding Ford, Lamborghini, Porsche, Chevrolet and many most recent vehicles to their police squads, I am really surprised about British police unveiling this pedal powered five gear vehicle what appeared to be their latest weapon in the fight against crime.

Surprised? You might be! It seems police officers want to get back to those old days when they use to cruise past the criminal as this six feet long vehicle, even when pedaled furiously, couldn’t catch anyone other than those with a zimmer frame.

Well, jeering aside and before you start jumping to any conclusion, let me tell you that this vehicle is the part of a community project organized by local bobby Keith Waller and won’t be used for patrolling. The vehicle is intended for the British Pedal Car Grand Prix on July 11 and will be piloted by PC Keith Waller.

This pedal powered replica car comes out after 40 hours rigorous work at a cost over £1,000. With its top speed at 20mph, the vehicle is equipped with functioning three-tone siren, blue flashing light and also features British police logo, phone number and fluorescent batten-burg panels.

Apart from its rare chances to break the speed limits, this pedal powered car would make an eco-friendly alternative to other vehicles – which is the need of the hour.

This amazing racing car design from the FS MADI (Formula Student University MADI) has come out after analyzing the existing car and the cars of the competitors. The modern design concept is the part of a project that was completed by Svetoslav Sahakian and Andrey Chirkov while ordering the chaos of last lines of the body, subject them to a single law and give it a dynamics of aggression. The duo perfectly met the challenge of finding a well proportioned body in the given layout of an existing chassis. Engine has been located over the rear axle and its body is made of fiberglass. Its segmentation is done in such a way as to obtain as much as possible details. With its dynamics of aggression, the car looks like a shark on the road and can attack as well as led down any enemy in a fast pursuit.

At times when you are getting late to your office, you might have impatiently waited long for an office building elevator to come. But this is something that have been solved in Umeda Hankyu Building’s new office area in Osaka, Japan, with the installations of the five Mitsubishi Electric’s elevators that are possibly the largest measuring 3.4m wide, 2.8m long and 2.6m high. Each elevator has a whopping capacity for 80 people at a time with more than 11,500 pounds weight carrying power. Well, if you’ve sound mathematics, you can calculate that these five elevators together can lift up to 400 people at once. And to get rid of the thought of being crammed into an elevator with 79 people, these elevators feature glass windows that allow you enjoy the view of vicinity as you move upward.

2010 Porsche Sports Car 911 Tequipment

Porsche Tequipment has announced four new items for the 2010 Porsche Sport Car Classic 911. The new 2010 Porsche 911 Tequipment list includes sport classic wheels, a PDK steering wheel with gearshift paddles, an Aerokit Cup and a sport design front body panel. The new 2010 Porsche 911 Tequipment wheels come in 11.5 J x 19 ET 50 and are priced at Euro 5,569.20 including VAT. For the cars with tire pressure control the price is 5,866.70 EUR.
Porsche Sports Car 911 Tequipment
The 2010 Porsche 911 Tequipment three-spoke sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles is priced from Euro 940.10 and can be fitted to all versions of the 911, Boxster, Cayman, and Panamera. The 2010 Porsche 911 Tequipment Aerokit Cup is available for the coupe and is priced at Euro 4,522.00.
The Porsche 911 (pronounced as Nine Eleven, German: Neunelfer) is a 2-door sports coupe made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. It has a distinctive design, rear engined and with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356.
Porsche Sports Cars Press Release:
Four new retrofit highlights from Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, are dedicated entirely to the spirit of sporting performance. Particularly the 19-inch Sport Classic wheels in the unmistakable look of Porsche’s legendary Fuchs rims developed especially for the 911 Sport Car Classic built in a production run of just 250 units are an outstanding example of Porsche’s history and a striking design feature of the 911 Carrera.
Re-interpreted in individual style, the wheels in five-spoke design with the rim star painted black, the wheel hump in gloss-lathed finish, and the Porsche logo in colour on the wheel hub, are a genuine eye-catcher. Introduced by Porsche for the first time in 1966, these unique wheels are now making an outstanding come-back. The new wheels measure 8.5 J x 19 ET 55 and come together with tyres in 235/35 ZR 19 (front) and, respectively, 305/30 ZR 19 (rear) on all current all-wheel-drive models of the 911 Carrera and Targa as well as the 911 Turbo at an all-in price per set of Euro 5,569.20 including VAT (cars with tyre pressure control Euro 5,866.70).
Another particularly sporting feature is the three-spoke sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles for the PDK transmission already well known from the new 911 Turbo. Starting immediately, this unique leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles behind the right and left steering wheel spokes carried over from motorsport is available at a price of Euro 940.10 including VAT also for individual retrofitting on all versions of the 911, Boxster, Cayman, and Panamera with PDK and, starting in August 2010, on the new Cayenne with Tiptronic S.
The high-quality shift paddles are naturally made of metal. Through their stretched sickle shape, the gearshift paddles allow the driver to shift gears manually with perfect ease, from a wide range of individual holding positions on the steering wheel. The driver shifts up on the right and down on the left.
The newly developed Aerokit Cup available on all versions of the 911 Carrera Coupé shows a close and direct link to the fastest brand trophy in the world, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. At the front of the car the most outstanding feature is the new apron with its striking trim bars in the centre air intake and the characteristic spoiler lip. At the rear the unique rear lid with the wing fitted in position takes up the highly successful design of the former model. It almost goes without saying that all components have been optimised in Porsche’s wind tunnel to improve both driving behaviour and aerodynamics.
Already available on new cars at a price of Euro 4,968.25 including VAT, the Aerokit Cup may now also be retrofitted on current models of the 911. In this case the price from Porsche Tequipment is Euro 4,522.00 including VAT, plus fitting and paintwork.
While so far the Aerokit with its particularly sporting look was not available to drivers of the 911 Cabriolet and Targa (997), the new, striking Sport Design front apron now closes this gap, with the spoiler lip matched aerodynamically to the regular rear spoiler. Naturally, the new front panel also fits on all other versions of the 911 Carrera and 911 Targa in the 997 model series. Finished in the same colour as the car itself, the front apron in Sport Design blends harmoniously with the overall contours and silhouette of the 911.
The Aerokit retails on new cars at a price of Euro 2,368.10 including VAT and is available from Porsche Exclusive. It may also be retrofitted individually by Porsche Tequipment at a price of Euro 2,159.85 including VAT, plus the cost of fitting and paintwork.
