Lamborghini unveils sports car priced at Rs 3.6 cr

The Italian luxury car maker company, Lamborghini launched its fastest sports car Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce in India on Wednesday. Lamborghini launches the limited edition of a model with price tag at Rs 3.6 crore. The car model will give a perfect blend of razor-sharp precision, brilliant stability and amazing performance in high speed.

This sports car comes with a 6.5 liter V12 petrol engine and has a maximum speed of 342 km per hour.

The engine of Lamborghini sports car is of 670 horse power and consists of 12 cylinders. The new car will be shipped in as a CBU (Complete Built Unit) from the facility of Lamborghini at Sant’Agata in Italy. The car can get speed from 0 to 100 km per hour in 3.2 seconds. The company introduces 350 units of the high-end model in the country. The car will come in its most popular colours yellow and Matt black.

The new Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce built with light weight materials and hi-tech fiber. The weight of this car is 1565 kg which is reduced by 34 kg with its carbon fiber body. The transmission tunnel and floor are made of carbon fiber and the exterior panels are carved from sheet steel. This sports car has 18 inch alloy wheels, 6 piston calipers and 15 inch carbon ceramic disc brakes. It also has the feature of upward opening doors and the sports bucket seats.

BMW prepares Megacity EV sports car

As you know BMW is working on a Megacity electric four-seater that will go on sale in 2013. In a recent interview with AutoCar, BMW sales and marketing boss Ian Robertson said the car will be offered in more variants, including a sports car version. According to him this could be inspired by the Vision ED sports car concept unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but not a duplication of it.

We imagine that the engine from the Vision EfficientDynamics will be used if not a version of it. The Vision ED sportscar is powered by a three-cylinder turbodiesel engine combined with two electric motors. These motors produce 356 hp and a peak torque of 590 lb-ft. It hits a top speed of 155mph and makes the 0-60mph sprint in 4.8 seconds. Fuel consumption is reduced to 75.1 mpg imp, while CO2 emissions is just 99 grams/km.

Despite previous rumors, Ian confirmed that the new model will wear the BMW badge and will not be sold under a separate brand: "We’re in the final stages of picking a name, but we want it to become a strong sub-brand like we have with M."

The main focus with the future Megacity model will be weight saving and to do that BMW will build it principally from carbon fiber. Using carbon fiber will allow for about a 30% reduction in weight from that of an aluminum car. However, if you were hoping for an inexpensive model, you can pretty much forget about it.

New Lexus Sports Car: Nothing Like It

When the Tokyo Motor Show took place, a lot of the spectators were surprised by Toyota when they unveiled their New Lexus Sports Car and they were so surprised that even before the show had ended, interested buyers started contacting the company to place their orders for the Supercar.

The New Lexus Sports Car is something that is a first for Toyota and the Lexus branch of it as Lexus was more concerned with luxury cars which had the massage seats and the whole surround sound systems going on in the interior, they never paid much attention to performance.

This new entry is going to set a whole new reputation for Toyota now as people realize that the company can handle both comfort and speed.

The New Lexus Sports Car is super-light with its carbon fiber body which was developed in collaboration with McLaren and it has a ten cylinder engine waiting to be unleashed underneath the bonnet. The V10 can produce up to 552 Brake Horsepower and it is nothing to take lightly for if you press the accelerator too hard you might find your chest contract with G-Force.

The New Lexus Sports Car can speed up to 62 Mph (100 Km/h) in under four seconds - 3.7 - and has a top speed that can reach 202 miles an hour. Though I do not know why anyone would want to drive that fast, I do know that it looks rather stunning on paper.

One third of the orders for the New Lexus Sports Car came from Germany while the rest were scattered over the globe, though the company did not mention the orders by country information.

2010 Novitec Rosso Super Sports Cars Edizione 747 Bi-Compressor Engine

The Ferrari 430 Scuderia is already one of the hottest-performing supercars on the market, but some people just don't know how to leave well enough alone. Some of those people work at Ferrari, who've worked tirelessly on the 458 Italia to supplant the 430's already legendary performance. And some of those people work for Novitec Rosso, who've come back yet again with another mod job for the Italian stallion.

It takes its name from its rated power output of 747 horsepower: To mark the farewell of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, NOVITEC ROSSO presents the Edizione 747. The world’s leading tuner of the super cars from Maranello turns the lightweight model into one of the most powerful super sports cars of our time. And with its matte yellow and grey paintjob it is also one of the most spectacular-looking cars of our time.
Called the Edizione 747, the custom Scuderia may not be as big as a jumbo jet, but it packs nearly as much thrust. Strapping a pair of superchargers to that high-revving 4.3-liter V8, along with a few more tweaks here and there, brings output up from an impressive 510 horses to a bonkers 747 horsepower. Intercoolers and revised aerodynamic cooling keep the engine running cool. 
Twenty-inch NF3 rims wear Michelin Pilot Sport Cup rubber mounted to sport springs that drop the ride height by a further 30 milimeters, available with an adjustable front end that can lift 40 mm to clear curbs and speed bumps at the touch of a button. Novitec's also decked out this particular example with a two-tone yellow and matte black paint scheme, and given the interior a few mods to complete the package.
At the heart of this special model lies the 2010 new NOVITEC ROSSO 747 Bi-Compressor engine that boosts power output of the V8 that normally produces 510 hp / 375 kW by 237 hp / 174 kW. Driving performance improves accordingly: With a sprint time for 0 – 100 km/h of less than 3.4 seconds, 9.4 seconds to 200 km/h and just 22.9 seconds to 300 km/h the NOVITEC ROSSO model is the most powerful and quickest Scuderia in the world. Just as impressive is the top speed of 351 km/h.
The Edizione 747 specification is the ultimate high-end version and is limited exclusively to the Berlinetta model of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. The layout of the engine conversion corresponds to all NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Compressor conversions for the mid-engine sports car. Each cylinder bank is fitted with an intercooler and a cogged-belt-driven high-performance supercharger with a maximum boost pressure increased for this version to 0.53 bar. 
The intercooling system features its own dedicated water circuit. The radiator of the system is located behind a special centrally placed air duct in the front apron. To guarantee perfect durability even under high ambient temperatures the conversion also includes more effective radiators for water and oil.
The result of this labor is a unique symbiosis of superior power and excellent running smoothness. With a rated power output of 747 hp / 549 kW at 8,500 rpm the NOVITEC ROSSO Edizione 747 Bi-Compressor engine surpasses its naturally aspirated brethren by 237 hp / 174 kW. The increase in torque from standard 470 Nm to 738 Nm at 6,300 rpm represents an enormous plus in low-speed power.
As a tribute to the outgoing Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Novitec Rosso has unveiled its new Edizione 747. As the name suggests, the V8 engine has been upgraded with a bi-compressor to produce a total of 747-hp with a maximum torque of 544 lb-ft. 0-62 mph comes in just 3.4 seconds while 0-124 mph takes 9.4 seconds. To speed comes in at 218 mph. Novitec also threw in a new intercooling system that features its own dedicated water circuit and is given a maximum boost pressure figure of 0.53 bar.
To lend the Scuderia better suitability for everyday use despite the lowering NOVITEC ROSSO offers an innovative hydraulic lift system for the front axle. At the push of a button in the cockpit the front is raised by 40 millimeters. It allows drivers to safely navigate parking ramps, low curbs and speed bumps. 
After safely passing over the obstacle, another push of the button reverts the suspension to its original position. If the button is not pushed the front end reverts to its original position automatically once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h.

2010 NOVITEC ROSSO Sports Car Refines the Ferrari California

Novitec Rosso has released their sporty styling and performance package for the new Ferrari California. The 2010 Novitec Rosso Ferrari California comes with a custom-tailored tire/wheel combination with diameters of 21 and 22 inches, suspension modifications, more power and exclusive interior options.

The Ferrari California 4.3-liter V8 engine power increases by 40 hp / 29.4 kW to 500 hp / 368 kW. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 485 to 518 Nm at 5,300 rpm : 2010 NOVITEC ROSSO now also refines the new Ferrari California.
Tasteful refinements with aerodynamic benefits characterize the NOVITEC ROSSO design program for the sports car from Maranello. All aerodynamic-enhancement components are made from especially lightweight yet high-strength clear-coated carbon fiber. The NOVITEC ROSSO front spoiler attaches to the production bumper and lends the sports car an even more striking face. Its sophisticated shape further reduces lift on the front axle for even better directional stability at high speeds.
To reduce lift on the rear axle and thus achieve an optimal aerodynamic balance NOVITEC ROSSO equips the California with a newly designed diffuser for the rear apron and a spoiler lip on the trunk lid.
Three-piece NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 wheels also play a major role in the even more stunning appearance of the refined Ferrari. By choosing a staggered combination of size 9Jx21 wheels in front and size 11.5Jx22 on the rear axle NOVITEC ROSSO further emphasizes the wedge shape of the car.
Technology partner Pirelli supplies high-performance tires custom-tailored to this Ferrari. Aerodynamic and styling changes include new rocker panels with integrated airfoils and black side markers, a rear diffuser, rear spoiler lip and carbon fibre rear molding. Wheels are 9Jx21 size in front and 11.5Jx22 at the rear, shod with 255/30 ZR 21 and 315/25 ZR 22 Pirelli tyres respectively.
NOVITEC ROSSO sport springs are custom-calibrated to match these ultra-low-profile tires, and lower the ride height by some 35 millimeters. At the same time the NOVITEC ROSSO specialists have developed an additional feature to further improve the everyday utility of the Ferrari California.
The NOVITEC ROSSO hydraulic front lift system raises the front of the car by some 40 millimeters at the push of a button in the interior. That allows drivers to safely navigate parking garage ramps or speed bumps. At a second push of the button or automatically when reaching a speed of 80 km/h the front reverts to its original position.
This injection of extra power comprises on the one hand a newly calibrated engine management system with custom mapping for injection and ignition, including a new higher redline speed of 8,300 rpm. The tuning package also includes the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with metal catalysts and a flap actuator operated from the Manettino switch on the steering wheel.
NOVITEC ROSSO fulfills customer demands for interior customization with perfectly finished leather and Alcantara interiors. The choice of available colors and meticulously sewn upholstery designs is virtually unlimited.

Lexus and Gazoo Racing compete together at Nürburgring 24h race for the beneft of LFA and other future Toyota & Lexus products. Playing a key role in helping to finalise the development of the LFA before it enters production in December, the grueling 24h race offers Lexus and Gazoo Racing the unique opportunity to not only foster the peerless quality, durability and reliability by pushing cutting-edge technology to the extremes of mechanical endurance but also to hone the technical skills of the personnel involved in the development of future Lexus and Toyota production vehicles.

Furthermore, by participating in the 24 Hours Endurance Race Lexus and Toyota aim to showcase their dedication through Gazoo Racing to produce more emotional cars and becoming more attractive and desirable to a wider range of customers.
This year’s race marks the third consecutive entry of the Lexus LFA and, signifcantly, the frst participation of the car in standard production guise.
Competing in the SP8 (‘Near production’) class, the race version of the LFA does not differ substantially from the road car, particularly with regard to construction, engine and transmission. Mandatory safety equipment has been installed and other modifcations such as a refned aero package including a fxed rear wing and a larger fuel tank are made to refect the format of the 24h race and the Nürburgring circuit.
Led by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC)’s master test driver Hiromu Naruse, the Gazoo Racing team will make its fourth appearance at the Nürburging 24h race. It is a team comprised of engineers and technicians from TMC, and, whilst they’ve regularly come together over recent months to support the LFA in the build-up to the 24h race, their ‘day-jobs’ are within the TMC engineering community.This kind of virtual organisation ensures that the collective learning is transmitted directly back into the core of the engineering activity.
The driver line-up includes four Japanese and three German pilots with outstanding endurance and GT racing credentials, including three champions from the Japanese Super GT series. As part of the preparation of the cars and the drivers, Gazoo Racing entered the first three VLN races of 2010.
Consistently fnishing in leading positions in its SP8 class, the LFA has also demonstrated its competitiveness against track-prepared specialist racing cars, with a best fnish of 17th overall in VLN2.
