We don’t know why but Nissan decided to give us an early glimpse of a mini van concept that will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show, due to open in October. Called NV200, the mini van concept was jointly developed by
Shiro Nakamura, senior vice president and chief creative officer at Nissan Motors said, “a light commercial vehicle has a specific job to perform, but that’s no reason to design a purely rational vehicle with no warmth. For NV200, function becomes the aesthetic. Our concept is a highly efficient tool but one with a human touch”.
Nissan says that although NV200 answers specific needs of a professional underwater photographer with ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ storage zones in the pod for diving and camera equipment, if the van went into production the basic concept could be tailored to suit different customers.
Guess the new Impreza Outback Sport answers your question what’s worse than a ’08 Impreza hatch… Hideous isn’t it? We had posted a scoop picture of the new Outback Sport about a month ago but then we weren’t so sure of its authenticity. This one though, shot during a Subaru presentation at the States, proves that the fugly '08 Impreza Outback Sport is for real. Damn, Subaru could have at least tried to differentiate the Outback Sport from the standard version. Instead, they just gave the ’08 Impreza the same yucky two-tone paintjob as the previous version, changed the front grille with one that features a chrome strip at the top, added new alloy wheels and a set of roof rails. Great work guys… Jeez, someone definitely needs to have a word with Subaru’s design team.

Now here’s a BMW 6-Series whose owner definitely went overboard with the styling. 1984's Ferrari Testarossa and its re-engineered sibling, the 1991 512TR were two of our favorite childhood dreamcars. Then in 1994 Ferrari spilled the bucket with the re-styled F512M which in our opinion, was and still is, one of the ugliest Ferraris ever to leave the Maranello factory. Of course, that doesn’t justify this dejected excuse for a replica that’s based on the ever-lasting Pontiac Fiero mid-engined sports coupe (jeez, how many are out there?), which looks like it jumped out of a “Thunderbird” episode from the late 60’s. -More pics after the jump

Our Dutch friends over at Autoblog.nl received a set of images from one of their readers featuring what seems to be a prototype for an upcoming Coupe-Cabrio (CC) version the Maserati GranTurismo. Despite the Ferrari alloy-wheels, we’ll agree with our fellow Dutch bloggers that this isn’t a Ferrari prototype –check out details like the dashboard, the doorhandles and the chrome strips on the A-pillar all of which point out to the GT. And if you’re wondering why we believe that the car seen here is a prototype for a drop-top version of Maserati’s glamourpuss coupe, then you’ll have to see another of set of images (check out the first picture after the jump) featuring a similar test mule on the dynometer. Despite the fact that these images were passed on as a test mule for the Ferrari Dino, if you look carefully and check out the size and shape of the boot along with the way it’s hinged, the car we’re seeing here is most probably a convertible with a retractable folding hardtop. -Continued: Click “Read More…” below
