Lamborghini Sports Car Concept for 2016 Madura Hybrid

The Lamborghini Madura concept car was imagined by Slavche Tanevsky, a student at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. He has created this futuristic Lamborghini sports car design concept, in partnership with Lamborghini and Audi designers for Lamborghini’s Raw Materials Project.
Slavche Tanevsky has designed a model with the classic, aggressive lines of a Lambo, but with a hybrid engine. This concept vehicle carries the name of an island in Indonesia, well known for its bull races. Dubbed the Madura (named after an Indonesian island famous for bull races).
Although it slightly resembles the Reventon and the Estoque, the overall design of this hybrid concept car is more aggressive and more focused. The front-mid placed hybrid drivetrain is “hidden” under the curvy hood. In the front side the Madura has huge air intakes and slim headlights, oriented in such a way to accentuate the cars’ width.
According to Tanevsky, "The Madura is a proposal for the first hybrid Lamborghini scheduled for 2016. Doing a car more efficient and more nature-friendly, doesn't mean it shouldn't be exciting, good-looking and fast. (But) in my opinion this new propulsion system should be represented on the looks of the car.

Top 10 Fastest Cars in the World

The SSC Ultimate Aero has since broken the record as the fastest production car in the world, and I plan to address this in my next list. Be sure to subscribe to the Automoblog RSS Feed or free email newsletter to stay up-to-date.

Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron

Top Speed: 252.2 mph

1001 Horsepower

No surprises here, the fastest and most powerful production car ever makes the top of the list. I wonder when Koenigsegg will decide to take the #1 position and beef up the CCX.

Koenigsegg CCX

Koenigsegg CCX

Top Speed: 250 mph

900 Horsepower

As I said above, I expect Koenigsegg to take the number one spot eventually; those crazy Swedes aren’t fooling around.

Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo

Saleen S7 TT

Top Speed: 248 mph

750 Horsepower

VCars didn’t specify that it’s an S7 Twin-Turbo, but that’s what they’re talking about. This is one bad-ass car.

McLaren F1

McLaren F1

Top Speed: 240.14

620 Horsepower

Can you believe this? The McLaren F1 was made in 1994, 13 years ago, and it’s still one of the fastest cars in the world. This happens to be the first car on this list I would purchase if I had the cash. Then I’d buy the Koenigsegg.

Ferrari Enzo

Ferrari Enzo

Top Speed: 217 mph

657 Horsepower

Ferrari’s newest Mega-Car seems to have people crashing it left and right, but the drivers always walk away fine (physically.) With only 399 of these ever made, the value of the car goes up with each crash.

Jaguar XJ220

Jaguar XJ220

Top Speed: 217 mph

549 Horsepower

Even older than the McLaren F1, the Jaguar XJ220 has been on this list since 1992. Be sure to check out the Pininfarina version as well.

Pagani Zonda F

Pagani Zonda Roadster

Top Speed: 215 mph

602 Horsepower

Yes, I know this is a picture of the Roadster, not the Zonda F. With Pagani’s new Zonda R on the way, the Zonda might be creeping up on this list faster than Bugatti can say “We need bigger turbos.”

Lamborghini Murcielago

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Top Speed: 213

633 Horsepower

I think VCars got a little bit confused here. The title suggests they mean the standard Murcielago, but the top speed and pictures tell us they’re talking about the LP640. Let’s clear this up a bit…the horsepower on the LP640 is 640 (hence the name,) and the hp rating on the standard Murcielago is 580.

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche Carerra GT

Top Speed: 209 mph

605 Horsepower

Porsche’s fastest, most attractive (and most expensive) car to date comes in at #9.

McLaren Mercedes SLR

Mercedes McLaren SLR

Top Speed: 207 mph

626 Horsepower

Ferrari 360 Modena Replica

this is the first Ferrari 360 Modena replica I’ve ever seen that actually looks good! Now that I think about it, it’s one of the only kit cars in general that looks good. Yeah, that picture up there is the kit, not the real 360.

The Ferrari 360 Modena happens to be my favorite car of all time, and while there aren’t very many kits out there for it, there are a few I’ve seen…and they’re hideous. Take this horrendous example:

Bad Ferrari 360 Modena Kit

Sorry to whoever made this, but that looks terrible, and wouldn’t fool anybody. It doesn’t even have the glass covering the engine! C’mon, that’s part of the 360’s character.

Anyway, this kit from Extreme Cars looks great, and being such a 360 Modena lover I’d say I’m pretty critical (or is it cynical?) It can even be converted from a 2-seater to a family-hauling 4-seater. That’s pretty impressive. It’s built on the Peugeot 406 as opposed to an MR2 or Fiero, which attributes to the accuracy. From what I can tell it’s of high quality, and each panel is spaced correctly, showing the craftsmanship is good. The rear of the car is surprisingly accurate, other than the lack of tailpipes, unless I’m missing something here:

Bank Mandiri Kucurkan Dana Rp. 200 Milyar Untuk Pembiayaan Mobil

First flying car wins permit in US

A light aircraft that can convert into an automobile has been allowed into US skies to help a long dreamed-of "flying car" come true.

Whether it is to avoid a traffic jam or just get to a destination faster, the idea of combining a car and plane or having a flying gear has always been appealing.

A private aircraft manufacturing company based in Woburn, Massachusetts, has blended the two modes of transport quite well in its roadable Terrafugia Transition.

According to Terrafugia Inc., the vehicle can fly a distance of up to 640 kilometers (around 398 mile) on a single tank of gas at a cruising speed of 185 km/h. Upon landing and with its wings folded up, it can also drive highway speeds on the road.

It is also permitted to take off a maximum weight of about 650 kilograms, which is 50 kilograms above the limit for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) light sport aircraft category.

Terrafugia won a key federal approval for its flying car which has already completed flight tests to become the latest manifestation of a long-running fantasy.

The significant innovation now fills a blank in humans' life which existed almost as long as there have been automobiles.

The company will begin production later this year with about 20 vehicles.

Terrafugia said it has collected $10,000 deposits from more than 70 potential buyers for the $194,000 craft with the first flying car expected off the production line in 18 months.

The Volkswagen Kai-Nalu is a concept sports car designed by Spanish designer Josep Ferriol. The vehicle is futuristic sports car and is inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean Sea as they smash into the shoreline. The Kai-Nalu also includes a flowing glass upper section, which has been designed to mimic the sea.

The Volkswagen Concept Josep Ferriol includes the clear roof, highly stylised wheels and an electric drivetrain with two separate motors and design of Kai-Nalu is somewhat controversial and certainly no please everyone. But in a world where there are many supercars that follow the same formula and same style, the Volkswagen Kai-Nalu is refreshing and different.
volkswagen kai-nalu concept side
Ferriol is quite aware of how bold and probably controversial the Kai-Nalu would be, given the tendency for certain modern cars to follow similar design patterns.

Designed to be powered by a zero-emission electric engine, the vehicle features highly stylized wheels which have been inspired by the appearance of bicycle wheels.

Most Popular Car Paint Colours in 2010

The first thing you see when you look at a car is the color. The color of a car is one of the most important things for a car owner.

It is very difficult to choose the right color for your car because of the wide variety of choices out there. It should not only be appealing to you but also it should make a statement and it is very important that it makes the right one. Whether you want to repaint your old car or if you are on the verge of buying a car you should first do a little research and see what the trendiest colors of the year are. Of course, after you decide all the other important technical aspects.

If you are planning to repaint your car alone, then you should know that it is not advisable to do it using regular paint you should only use quality car paint. But when you are choosing the color of your car paint you should make sure that it really represents you. The trendiest colors for car this year is metallic gray or metallic beige. The cars painted all in black might seem appealing up to one point but you might find it that it is not great driving in car that might send the impression that you are some kind of mobster.

The colors of the cars in 2010 are inspired from the more earthy tone. So you can choose to paint your car plum red or even silver. Silver is a color that hides dirt and nicks also. It is easy to maintain and will never go out of fashion. Also, if you are fond of black but wouldn't want to leave the impression described above then you should choose a dark blue. The color is sleek and will be the perfect substitute for black.

It is really important to choose the color that best represents you and if it is one of the colors that is also in the trend this year then it is even better.
